Stone’s Throw staffs’ favorite wine, that’s what.
Lagrein (Lah-Grine) is a red grape varietal whose mother was Teroldego and its father, well, unknown.. Perhaps Syrah, the jury’s out and “Dad” left town. History places its’s origins in Northern Italy. Our version is from, St. Helena, Napa vineyards. In volcanic soils, it flourishes and provides a deep, brooding intense wine, and exhibits a similar character to Petite Verdot.
We create this beauty from an 11-acre plot and it has become a huge hit with those of us who seek big, big, highly extracted vino.
